What Love Means to Me
I’m a romantic at heart. I love a good romance novel and I’m a total sucker for your sappy Rom-Com. And I like nothing more than hearing about a happy ending.
That being said, I’m not a big fan of Valentine’s Day because I think you should show love to your significant other every day of the year. I don’t really believe in chocolate and roses, but instead prefer to show I care with small gestures and spending time together.
Luckily, my husband and I are on the same page about how we like to give and receive love. He likes when I leave him sticky notes telling him I love him. He enjoys having coffee ready in the morning. And we both like curling up on the couch watching TV together before bed.
I like when my husband makes me laugh when he knows I’m having a rough day. I like being hugged before we leave for work and as soon as we come home. I also love when he tells me how much he loves me.
Knowing these things about your partner is super important for a strong relationship. Understanding what the other person wants and needs and also expressing what you want and need is the foundation for any relationship.
Expressing love might be more difficult for some people, but there are plenty of quotes out there to help you say what you’re feeling inside. Whether you’re a romantic or not, I’ve pulled some of my favorite love quotes that will make anybody’s heart swoon.
